I've been looking for awhile for the PERFECT setting for Vermont Chalky Paint to call home. Nothing too new and shiny. A place with a little history and her own scratches and dents. I took my dog for a walk and the old Tip Top News store was up for rent. I spent many a week's allowance on the penny candy there in the 7th grade. Yes, it was totally emotional and yeah, I signed the papers and freaked out a little (not gonna lie...) Inside, it had these HUGE parrots on the walls (not fun...) complete with a GORGEOUS tin ceiling (wa-ay cool!) After endlessly stripping 20 feet of paradise, spackling and eating my fair share of dust, the deed was done - walls were spackled. BUT... what to do with 12' walls??? Window boxes with faux tin roofs! 

 I had some leftover graphite from one of the Greystone ProPacks, so I simply brushed it on a cardboard awning I made out of materials I got from the Dollar Tree and voila - instant cute tin roof. Here's what you'll need:
